Where Wild Things Grow

We specialize in hardy, low-maintenance desert plants that know how to survive and thrive. Think yucca, agave, cacti, and a few unexpected stunners that do just fine with a little sunlight and space to breathe.

Our top seller, and honestly? Deservedly so. Yucca Thompson—and its varieties cut into tall, sculptural shapes and completely unbothered by the heat or drought. Low maintenance, high impact to add that “wow” factor.

Get to Know Us

West Texas Plants has been growing strong since 1999, thanks to Lico and his family’s steady hands and deep love for the land. In 2025, the story continues with Dean and his family—longtime desert dwellers with a soft spot for hardy plants and wide-open spaces.

We’ve learned a lot by watching, listening, and getting our hands in the soil. What started as admiration turned into stewardship, and now we’re proud to carry on a business built on care, connection, and the kind of plants that truly belong here.

We work wholesale only—serving fellow plant lovers, landscapers, and designers who want something with a little more soul.
