Family-Rooted Since ’99
West Texas Plants was founded in 1999 by Lico and Linda, who built the business from the ground up by responsibly harvesting native plants from the Chihuahuan Desert. Through years of hard work and a deep understanding of the land, they built a reputation for quality, reliability, and exceptional service throughout the Southwest.
Today, a new family is proud to continue that tradition—preserving the same commitment to responsible harvesting, quality plants, and dependable service while carrying the business into its next chapter.
A New Chapter
In 2025, the business was sold to Dean Williams, who had long admired the work and the legacy Lico and Linda had built. That legacy is now carried on by his daughter, Lexi, and son-in-law, Justin Haase.
Lexi manages the office, works directly with customers, and carefully selects each order. Justin leads the five-person harvesting crew, oversees field operations, and even keeps the team fed with meals cooked right on the desert floor. Together with their team of eight, they work hard every day to responsibly harvest, prepare, and ship quality plants throughout the Southwest.
Still Rooted in the Same Soil
Some families pass down recipes. Ours passed down yuccas.
The names may have changed, but the tradition continues.
