Family-Rooted Since ’99

West Texas Plants began in 1999 with Lico—a man who knew his land, his plants, and his people. He built the business from the ground up, one wild-harvested plant at a time, supplying landscapers and contractors with the kind of rugged beauty only the desert can offer.

We grew up with these. We’re growing old with these. And every time you plant these, you’re adding to something much bigger.

A New Chapter

In 2025, the business was passed down to Dean—someone who’d admired the work from afar and understood its value. But the real connection came through his daughter, Lexi.

Dean and Lexi spent years exploring the desert together. Their hikes became a quiet tradition, filled with curiosity, sun, and the kind of plants that stop you in your tracks. The ones that survive the heat, the drought, and still manage to look effortlessly beautiful.

Led by the Next Generation

Today, Lexi and her partner, Justin, carry the torch. What started as a family business was handed down to another family who shares that same love for the land, the work, and the plants themselves.

With fresh eyes and deep respect for what came before, they’re expanding the vision—bringing more care to the customer experience, more thought to what gets planted, and more heart into every order.

Still Rooted in the Same Soil

Some families pass down recipes. Ours passed down yuccas.
The names may have changed, but the values haven’t:
Honest work. Strong plants. And deep, lasting roots.
